Tombeja vizito je Kanada Festo-Tago

Lundon la 2an de julio (Kanada Festo-Tago 2012), kvin membroj de Kalgaria Esperanto-Societo vizitis la lastan ripozejon de du niaj pioniroj: Dorothy Hawley kaj Janet Warren. Ne tute certaj pri tio, kie ili estis, ni devis longe promeni por trovi Dorothy, kiu estis en Burnsland Cemetary proksime al la Stampedejo, ĉe sekcio P, bulvardo 8, loko 34. La memorloko de Janet estis preskaŭ ĉe la urbo-limoj, en Mountain View Memorial Garden, sed ni rapide trovis ŝian memorŝtonon en sekcio Memories, flanko A, loko 934. En la supra bildo oni vidas Daphne, Maria kaj Paŭlon ĉe la tombejo de Dorothy, en la suba Maria kun la Esperanta flago ĉe la memor-ŝtono de Janet.

On Monday, July 2 (Canada Day 2012), five members of the Calgary Esperanto Society visited the final resting place of two of our pioneers: Dorothy Hawley and Janet Warren. Unsure just where they where, we had a long walk to find Dorothy, whom we finally found in Burnsland Cemetary near the Stampede grounds. Janet was farther away, in Mountain View Memorial Garden near the city limits, but we quickly found her memorial stone. The upper picture shows Daphne, Maria and Paul at Dorothy’s tombstone, the lower one Maria at Janet’s memorial stone with the Esperanto flag.
